COMIDA Grant Recipient Announces Layoffs
Careguide inc, a September 2006 recipient of a COMIDA grant allowing for the purchase of $1,530,000 in goods with no sales tax, announced today it is cutting 20 local jobs.
Touted by County Executive Maggie Brooks as a major accomplishment, these layoffs are sure to draw the ire of many, many Monroe County residents. Hopefully, that ire will be directed squarely in the face of the hapless leaders we call the Monroe County Administration.
I’m sure this is going to get much worse before it gets better, so stay tuned…

Careguide stock has been in a downward spiral even when the COMIDA bling came through. Highpoint: $6 ish, COMIDA time: a buck, today 24 cents.
How the hell are you going to pull 200 jobs from a company diving into nothingness headfirst?
Oh that was sooooo last year…
Great catch
I think I’ll buy a thousand shares and bank on Ms. Magoo’s high hopes. Or maybe I should just send ten bucks to each of those laid off today.
