COMIDA decision on Tuesday - Is it Thumbs up or Thumbs Down

The Comida board votes on Tuesday whether or not to give a series of tax breaks to Manish Patel and his business opportunity. I wrote about the Brighton Public forum here.

So just to refresh your memory. COMIDA already gave him 100K in tax incentives and wants to give him more. This to a guy who has a business plan that depends on this hand-out otherwise his business plan fails. But it is supposed to create a job. a job, one.

Oh -

The Brighton Town board is against it

Many Brighton citizens are against it

I can only hope the two COMIDA folks hopefully took copious notes so they could report back to the board the EVERYONE AT THE PUBLIC HEARING EXCEPT THE APPLICANT was against the approval.

So the actual board meeting is

May 15th 12:00 noon.
Ebenezer Watts Conference Center
49 S. Fitzhugh Street
Rochester, New York 14614

It is open to the public.

I wonder how they will rule. My money, in terms of the town and school taxes diverted away from Brighton, is that it will be approved.

Why? well, the Monroe County government theme we know better than you.

Of course Metro Justice has a rally before hand

Rally to Stop
Corporate Welfare
Tuesday, May 15
11:30am
Ebeneezer Watts Bldg
47 South Fitzhugh St, Downtown Rochester
