State Assembly urges Bush not to veto timetables for Iraq

The State Assembly has no say in federal policy of course (and that might be for the best), but they have passed a non-binding resolution urging Bush to accept the Democratic Congress’s spending bill with its timetables for brining the troops home from Iraq. Here’s how the local reps voted (hat tip to Yancey Roy at the D&C political blog):

Jim Bacalles, R-Corning: (absent, excused).
Dan Burling, R-Alexander: no.
Joe Errigo, R-Conesus: no.
David Gantt, D-Rochester: (absent, excused).
Stephen Hawley, R-Batavia: no.
Susan John, D-Rochester: yes.
Brian Kolb, R-Canandaigua: no.
David Koon, D-Perinton: yes.
Joe Morelle, D-Irondequoit: yes.
Bob Oaks, R-Macedon: no.
Bill Reilich, R-Greece: no.
