		<description>Kuhl was rumored to be retiring last year. He took a long time before finally announcing he was running.

When the whole Foley "thing" hit the fan, one of the comments made was that he had planned to retire but that Reynolds and Co. strong armed him into saying (better to have an incumbent hold a seat etc.).

Since hearing that, I have suspected that Kuhl wanted to retire but had been "convinced" not to. So no, I wasn't surprised to hear that he was on Rove's list of potential retirees.</description>
