More idiocy from the Editorial Board of the D&C
They get going on the Drudge story about Al Gore’s utility bills. Our planet may be destroyed by global warming (though I hope it won’t), but Tom Tobin and James Lawrence are more interested in sucking up to the right-wing than in the welfare of our planet. I’d be lying if I told you I was surprised.
Shame on you, Tom Tobin and James Lawrence. There are times when I think you are dim-witted but well-meaing and others when I think you’re a bunch of dim-witted jerks. Right now, I think the latter.
Remember, though, readers: the fact that the D&C Editorial page is written by hacks is no reason to take it out on the citizen bloggers there.
What’s strange to me about the D&C Editorial page is that three-quarters of the editorials are sound, solid good government recommendations. But the other quarter is insane Rush Limbaugh-style ranting. Does anyone know why they do this? Red meat for the 29 percenters?

They must have received the memo from Roger Ailes
i don’t know if this is the case or not, but if Gore was choosing “cleaner” energy (marked by offsets and the like), shouldn’t we expect that his utility bill be higher because that is so much more expensive?
and even if not, way to be on top of an issue that first surfaced weeks ago. sloooooow news day for the editorial page.
This kind of stuff just doesn’t belong on their editorial page. I’d say the same if they wrote about the fact that Giuliani likes to fly around in private Gulfstream IV — which is also bad for global warming.
These kinds of stories are good oppo research stories but they belong on advocacy sites (like this) not on the editorial page of a nonpartisan newspaper.
