Salon: The Army is ordering injured troops to go to Iraq
After visting Fort Benning with soldiers and their families in January, Bush repays for their sacrifice, courage and patriotism with this gratitude:
March 11, 2007 | FORT BENNING, Ga. — “This is not right,” said Master Sgt. Ronald Jenkins, who has been ordered to Iraq even though he has a spine problem that doctors say would be damaged further by heavy Army protective gear. “This whole thing is about taking care of soldiers,” he said angrily. “If you are fit to fight you are fit to fight. If you are not fit to fight, then you are not fit to fight.”
You heard Master Sgt. Ronald Jenkins. I think it deserves repeating for our DC visitors:
“If you are fit to fight you are fit to fight. If you are not fit to fight, then you are not fit to fight.”

After reading these documented cases, sufice to say, our military has surpassed the breaking point. Thanks to Congressman Randy Kuhl, we are witnessing the immoral and inhumane impact of his votes escalating the Iraq War, deeply straining the minds and bodies of our brave men and women in uniform.
Congressman Kuhl, is this how you support the troops?
Kuhl would implore all of us to believe he knows what is best for the 29th District. Impugn from criticism, Kuhl states the following about his opinion on the Iraq War:
Randy Kuhl on Escalation Vote 2/16:
“While this resolution is toothless and non-binding, it is the beginning of an effort by the Democrat majority in Congress to defund our troops and deny them the best protection and back up available. I will continue to fight with every last bit of energy I have to make sure that our troops overseas are given everything they need to get the job done.
“I support our troops without question, hesitation, or condition and that’s why I voted against this bill.”
You heard Congressman Kuhl. He effortlessly stated he knows how to “get the job done”. Well we are all ears. Since he understands military operations so well, then Congressman Randy Kuhl should have no problem introducing legislation on how to win the Iraq War.
Do tell the citizens of the 29th District on how to win the peace. We will wait to hear from you shortly.

Just curious, is it ok if I hate Randy now ?
Hate isn’t a worthwhile emotion… Yoda quote time…
“Fear is the path to the dark side. Fear leads to anger. Anger leads to hate. Hate leads to suffering.â€ÂÂ
The question I’d ask myself if I was feeling hate toward somebody is “Does this emotion help correct the situation?” Hate isn’t productive, and it’ll turn you into that which you aim to defeat… use your for your love for the world to beat Kuhl and his atrocious policies.
Hate is an emotion, or feeling that arises from passion. Feelings, unfortunately, are neither right, nor wrong. They just are. but, I do appreciate the Yoda quote
For what it’s worth, I don’t think you should hate Randy, er, Congressman Kuhl. Don’t hate the player, hate the game. Or at least the people who made up the rules of the game: Cheney, Rove, Tom DeLay, etc.
Thank you EOES. You are one of my favorite posters (bloggers?) so I will take what you write to heart. I agree with the sentiment. But, you may want to consider your use of the word “should”. From another group which I used to belong to I will quote, “Never [should] on yourself”. Other than that, I think your posts are delightful and poignant. Please keep responding.
It’s interesting. My son is saying “I hate“. I’ve been trying to re-direct him saying, “Do you HATE your sister, or is there something she’s doing you don’t like?” Kind of a “hate the sin, not the sinner” kinda thing.
Like Paul McCartney once said, there is good and bad, in everyone. Except maybe Dick Cheney.
I’m curious what it takes to get people to do the right thing. Especially people like Congressman John Kuhl.
money, sex, and power.
Any other questions ?
