Madam Brooks and Political Porn
I got my Friends of the Library letter over the weekend. It said there is a commission and how the library is working to improve the situation. However, I think Maggie’s grandstanding and threats to the library amount to nothing more than Political Porn.
What is next? Threaten the highway department funding unless they lift their plows when in front of Show World on Brighton-Henrietta Town line road. I mean all the people screaming about how our tax dollars are subsidizing porn should be screaming in outrage when our tax dollars plow the streets in front of these businesses
Why stop there? Don’t plow the sidewalks in front of the Adult video place on Monroe Avenue in the city I pass when heading into the city.
Pothole season is right around the corner. Don’t fill them in near those Businesses.
Where is Maggie - Protector of Children - Brooks’ outrage at our kids exposed to cigarettes? There is a life long addiction involved. Where is the outrage there?
What about exposure to the magazines screaming messages ‘Be like [insert waif thin model name here]
Ever look at Cosmo Articles? Need to learn how to bring out your inner bad girl? Pick up the latest issue of Cosmo. Per the cover, there is a listing of naughty sex tricks. I’m sure all kids are wondering when they should sleep with a guy.
One thing stands out on this really small cover image. SEX. Just stand at a check out in Wegmans. Seems like there is a lot more traffic there than at Library computers.
Well you get my drift.
Look, Move some computers in the library and have the Librarians walk around a little more. Your outrage is misdirected. A sledge hammer is not required here.
A sledgehammer approach is required for growing our county, bringing jobs, eliminating corruption, and the like. Save your sledgehammer for these difficult tasks.

This isn’t an issue about protecting kids, from porn or anything else - never was. This is simply an attempt by you and your party to overreact in a thinly veiled attempt to make it look like you are doing something.
