It’s Congressman Kuhl to you

In his blog Sunday on the DailyKos , Eric Massa explains why he calls representative Kuhl by his first name (John) and not the friendly sounding “Randy”

(His) real name is John and in that he demands to be called “Congressman” I think it is only responsible to refer to him by his first name.
I once asked him why he would not support mandatory funding - this at a Veterans rally last year. He refused to answer me and I repeated my question saying “Mr. Kuhl” in the question . He corrected me by saying “That’s Congressman Kuhl to you”.

I live in Yates County and in this part of the District he is considered a local boy who made good. He is not ‘Congressman Kuhl’, but good ol’ boy Randy. My wife’s Boss even calls him ‘Randy Boy’ when they talk politics. I think at Town Metings and in letters, I’ll refer to him as ‘Congressman John Kuhl’ , out of respect.
