And what’s the taxpayers’ bill for her first campaign ad?

Funny:

This is nothing against County Executive Maggie Brooks, as she is basically following a trail cut long ago, but there’s no way to see her State of the County address on Monday as anything other than a campaign ad. The thing skipped the bad news, put a party dress on the good, such as it is, and made nice with the kind of voters she hopes will return her to office in November.

Tom Tobin’s on a roll. Check out the rest.

Update: Ok, that was weird. Links are fixed now, though.

  1. StukintheMiddle says:

Some of Maggie’s friend and donors might be in trouble too, Water Buffalo Press has a big story on the Water Authority perks. Wait, Water Buffalo Press, Water Authority - is this a conflict of interest? is this how they scooped the D&C and, as far as I have seen, every other local news outlet on this one?

  2. Actually, we didn’t really “scoop” anyone. It appears Cuomo’s judgement only applies to state authorities.

  3. [...] All part of the recently kicked off “Please Re-Elect Brooks in 2007!” campaign. Although I kinda miss seeing this discussed in a post without Brooks’ face sandwiched [...]
