Obama interview one month after the Iraq war resolution
This isn’t local and it’s widely available (I got it from TalkingPointsMemo), but if you’re going to compare the records of Hillary Clinton, John Edwards, and Barack Obama on the Iraq war you should watch this interview with Obama, which took place shortly after the Senate vote to authorize force against Iraq.
The video is below the fold…

Yikes, I’ve never seen that one… Foresight is a leadership skill that many people seem to have forgotten in favor of redemption.
Thanks. I can see the JFK resemblance now. And it dispels much of the inexperienced lightweight image. In fairness to Hillary, I suspect that she, like Bill and Al, had had enough of Sadam, and while neither of them would have invaded, they were willing to let Bush make the bold and dangerous move that he was obviously planning. I believe that in her mind, having those bases in Iraq will give a future president a strategic advantage. At that point in time, few people would have seen the real costs of the war, but Obama wasn’t alone by any means.
that’s an outstanding interview, and in 2002.
I’m still undecided, but this is the kind of thing that makes me very excited about Barack.
