BREAKING NEWS: Kuhl caves in to White House, votes “no” on anti-escalation resolution
Kuhl voted with the Republicans against the anti-escalation measure. (The page is loading slowly, the vote was 246-182 in favor. That’s 17 Republican defections total, two Democratic defections, and 6 not voting.)
Looks like we’ve got a race on our hands in the 29th in 2008!
For those keeping tabs on the dirty half-dozen, we had: 5 “nays” (Fossella, McHugh, King, Reynolds, Kuhl) and one “yea” (Walsh).
I’m surprised. The last time I saw something like this was Jonestown, Guyana.

It seems as though the only one that can see the forest through the trees is Walsh. The best thing I can say about this is that it is most certainyl on now! Mr. Massa, we need your spirit, expertise, and ability to defuse the ticking bomb that is Robo Randy
Love the Jonestown reference. Creepy but appropos. Looks like you beat me to the punch by about fifteen minutes in posting this article. Amazing how closely the anti-Kuhl (as opposed to antifreeze) coalition is watching this vote, eh?
Dude, I feel the same way when I’m all ready to post and he scoops ME.
I’m 1 for 3 when it comes to judging local Republican Rep. support for the resolution. I predicted Walsh and Reynolds would vote against, and Kuhl would vote for it. Walsh has more political sense than I thought. Kuhl and Reynolds must be banking on the fact that November 2008 is 18 months away unless they’re politically clueless.
I only knew how Walsh would vote because I read his statements last week.
Kuhl surprised me. I can tell you this: it certainly gives a lot of life to a second Massa challenge. This is plain stupid politics.
I wasn’t surprised by Kuhl’s vote nor Reynolds. Walsh actually surprised me (I didn’t read his comments)
Randy Kuhl has repeatedly and blindly committed himself to the failed policies of this administration. What would you expect when it came to a vote?
