Robach bombshell

Okay, maybe I’m overstating things, but I found this quote from the D&C blog to be pretty revealing:

“I’m committed to doing my job and being part of the majority,” said Robach, the son of a long-time Democratic member of the Assembly, the late Roger Robach.

What about the future? Will he always be a Republican?
“I take it term by term,” he said.

well, he’s in the Senate - not the Assembly, so he is in the majority now.

Being committed to being the majoriy has always been what is said of him — meaning that he could be induced to come over to the Democratic side if things get close and his vote would switch control of the State Senate.

I was surprised to see that quote also - it made him look like a complete hack.

That’s because he IS a complete hack — and according to voting records, an extremely conservative one at that. This would be the guy who out-spent Willa Powell by what, 200:1 ?

Yep - Rottenchester hits it.

Politics should be about the people not about the politician.

Maybe he needs his own party, like “Connecticut for Lieberman”. “Senate District 56 for Robach”?

As opposed to the “Robach for Robach” party?
