Morrelle a possible candidate for State Comptroller
It’s semi-official, says the D&C:
Some Democrats are quietly emerging as possible replacements if Alan Hevesi resigns as state comptroller — including Assemblyman Joseph Morelle of Irondequoit.
Most of the candidates were unwilling to discuss what they plan to do if Hevesi, a fellow Democrat, resigns as part of a deal involving his use of state workers to chauffeur his wife.
Morelle, however, said Thursday that he was “seriously considering becoming a candidate” if Hevesi resigns, as expected.




It’s about time we had someone with the knowledge, dedication and forsight to assume the helm as the “first mate” of New York State.
This is a crucial appointment, as its’ economic impact will not only affect our state, but will have a rippling affect throughout the entire nation.
