Judith Hunter v. Dan Burling race update - 11/1/06
Judith Hunter (challenging incumbent Dan Burling in the 147th Assy district)
First off, how cute is this video?Â

(I’m excited for the news to slow down enough for us at RT to start doing multimedia like this. Post-election, stay tuned.)
Just because Judith’s opponent, Dan Burling, has refused to debate her, that has not stopped her from taking her message to the people of the far-flung, 4-county-wide 147th. In fact they were all the way down in Allegany County last weekend. That’s the kind of devotion Judith will show to the entire district once she’s in office. And her efforts have not gone unnoticed– this week the Buffalo News endorsed her!
Generally speaking, hope for change in Albany depends upon increasing the strength of the opposition parties in the Assembly and Senate. But four-term incumbent Republican Dan Burling seems worn out, while his Democratic challenger burns with the desire to reform New York’s dysfunctional government and to raise her rural district’s profile in Albany.
Burling “worn out”.  Sad but true. The 147th deserves better. Fortunately, they’re going to get it. Oh, and it’s kind of funny that the D&C felt that the 147th was out of their “readership concentration area”. Many parts of the north eastern portion of the 147th consider the D&C “their” paper. I’m surprised that Judith’s endorsement by the RBA didn’t make the D&C knee-jerk endorse her, outside of their area or not.

Great political ad. Much better than some of the ads coming out of Albany and Washington. It touches home and family.
Are they actually running this, or is it just for the web?
Just for the web as far as I know.
It’s just for the web (Judith’s husband and creator, with William, of the video.)
