Kuhl’s latest fundraising numbers - and a “surprise”

So, my man Rotten Chesta over at TF29th blog is on the scene before any of us, as usual, with Kuhl’s take for the last quarter:

He raised $90K from individuals and $133K from PACs in the period from August 23 to September 30. That’s about $80K less than Massa raised in the same period.

Massa appears to be rocking. Elvis is with him. TF29th also notes that the Cheney fundraiser for Randy is in that batch of receipts. So…the fundraiser income was from individuals…hmmm…that means that the fundraiser brought in $90K (or maybe less)?  But…but…all the media outlets here assured us that he made $150-$200K. I guess nobody could’ve forseen that it was much less than that.

Let’s do some math. 140 people * $150/seat = $21000. Even if each one of those paying customers got their pic taken at $1000 each, that’s still only $140,000. Plus $21K for the dinner gives you $160 K. I GUESS you could round up to $200 K but with the relatively small amounts of cash on hand in this race, $40K makes a big difference, and my suspicion is that they made a lot less than what this article reports.

Hey, does this make me a pundit now? Woo hoo! Somebody get me on the Sunday Talking Head shows!

It’s irritating that me, a dorky guy whose only qualification is I happen to be able to type on a keyboard, is paying more attention than the majority of the local media. I DON’T WANT YOUR JOB, LOCAL MEDIA! HELP US OUT ALREADY!

Sounds good to me. What’s on tap for this week?
