Well, Would you trust the Republican party with your future?

Well, I asked that question here.

Now., it looks like a different set of House Republicans knew about Foley in 2000. From the Washington Post

A Republican congressman knew of disgraced former representative Mark Foley’s inappropriate Internet exchanges as far back as 2000 and personally confronted Foley about his communications.

A spokeswoman for Rep. Jim Kolbe (R-Ariz.) confirmed yesterday that a former page showed the congressman Internet messages that had made the youth feel uncomfortable with the direction Foley (R-Fla.) was taking their e-mail relationship. Last week, when the Foley matter erupted, a Kolbe staff member suggested to the former page that he take the matter to the clerk of the House, Karen Haas, said Kolbe’s press secretary, Korenna Cline.

Of course Tom Reynolds emerges yet again. No, he doesn’t emerge from behind a bunch of kids at a press conference. This time he emerges as someone who continues to keep people in leadership postions.

Remember Don Sherwood?

Well the 61 year old married Republican Congressman strangled his mistress who eventually called 911. From Americablog.

Well what do you think I found in our archives? An article dated 2005 from Sherwood’s local paper informing us that the National Republican Congressional Committee decided to keep Sherwood in a leadership position even after they learned of Sherwood’s alleged attempt to strangle his not-at-all-alleged mistress, a woman he allegedly beat for five years.

Oh who was that nameless Republican who kept Sherwood in a leadership postion? Yes, Our own Tom Reynolds. Thanks Tom. You asked Foley to run again and you kept Sherwood in a leadership position. Child Stalkers and Stranglers. Geez, thanks Tom.
It is time to remove you from leadership . See you in November.

Heck, even my new found Republican Friend in Utica knows about you
