I just read the Buffalo News article TPMCAFE refers to in their post in detail. It details a conversation with the Buffalo News Editoral Board

Throughout the discussion, Reynolds’ tone shifted from contrite to defiant.
For example, asked several times to answer whether it was proper for a 50-year-old man to be writing overly friendly e-mails to a 16-year-old boy, Reynolds refused to provide a yes or no answer.
Instead, six times he said: “I wouldn’t have written it.”
Geez, thanks for your insight Tom. Maybe you should have done something about it.

Similarly, Reynolds defended the much-ridiculed decision of one of his aides to call supporters and have them bring their children to a Monday night press conference where the congressman discussed the Foley scandal.
“I was comfortable because I knew I would not put them in a provocative situation myself,” Reynolds said.
Hey Tom - You help enable and pertuatate Mark Foley. Time for you to go.
Oh, Mike the Bike reports in the comments (read them) that Tom is sick and cancelled the Sunday Talk show curcuit. Get well Tom, next week is going to suck even worse (h/t mike the bike)

Have you seen Reynolds “apology” commercial, just started playing yesterday? “I’m so sorry I trusted everyone else to do the right thing, and they let me down.”
On “This Week”, Reynolds non-appearance wasn’t chalked up to illness. George Stephanopolous made it clear that Adam Putnam was there because Reynolds was in trouble, and played the apology commercial. Yet another blow to Reynolds’ campaign, IMO.
