Confessions of a do-nothing Congress (continued)

Our long national nightmare is over: Congress has voted to prohibit the slaughter of horses for human consumption. Here’s how some courageous local reps voted:

Sherwood Boehlert, R-24th Dist.: No

Maurice D. Hinchey, D-22nd Dist.: Yes

John R. “Randy” Kuhl Jr., R-29th Dist.: Yes

James T. Walsh, R-25th Dist.: Yes

Don’t worry, though, horsemeast lovers:

the bill has an uncertain future as the Senate has not taken up a similar bill and is unlikely to this year.
