D&C reports on MoveOnapalooza

Joe Spector has a new piece in the D&C on the strange controversy surrounding the MoveOn ads targeting Randy Kuhl. It’s pretty similar to the Star-Gazett piece on the subject. Kuhl claims the ads have been taken down, MoveOn says they haven’t. People I’ve spoken to say they’ve seen them in the past few days, so presumably they are still running. There are two ads and here’s what MoveOn says (which I think is true):

MoveOn.org officials said one ad was set to stop last week, while another will continue through Saturday.

There’s also more on Massa’s comments about Rumsfeld and something I hadn’t heard before — Massa’s plans for shoring up FEMA:

Massa also held a news conference Wednesday in downtown Rochester to criticize the government’s handling of Hurricane Katrina. He proposed fully funding FEMA and elevating it to a cabinet-level department, as well as starting a “civilian recovery corps” to deal with long-term disaster reconstruction.
