Corning Leader writes about MoveOn ads

The Corning Leader wrote about the MoveOn advertisements this morning. As I would have guessed, they run Kuhl’s predictable “blame George Soros” talking points. They also note report that

However, WHAM in Rochester has reportedly pulled the spots, citing inaccuracies.

I hadn’t heard this before, only that Channel 13 had fact checked the “Dumping Billions” commercial.

Somewhat, surprisingly, the reliably right-wing Leader does let Massa have the last word:

“Why does he think things are going so well when his own president now says otherwise?” Massa said. “What did he see that make him think that our taxpayer money is being well spent?”

Update: I just spoke to the Channel 13 newsroom and they say they have no knowledge of the advertisements having been pulled, only having been fact-checked.

Thanks for following up, Exile. It’s very satisfying to have “he said/she said” claims verified or debunked so quickly.

  2. [...] WHEC Channel 10 did a bit about the MoveOn ads. They claim that MoveOn pulled the “Dumping Billions” commercial after a few days, but are continuing to run the “Red Handed” commercial. This seems like it could be the most likely explanation for the confusion. [...]
