Holy Crap! Wow, that’s mighty neighborly of her. Go Dan!
But, eep, Christina Rosetti? It sounds like the WFP has already given Dan their endorsement. How many sigs do you need to get on the ballot for WFP? Any chance of her spoiling even a little for Dan?
I don’t think anyone takes Christina Rosetti very seriously… She’s run for a number of positions in the past (including President), but never garnered any real support. Quite frankly I’d be shocked if she even has the sigs to get on the Dem ballot… we’ll find out in the next couple days. Even if she did get enough, I don’t think it will stop the big guns from coming out and stumping for Maffei. He’s without a doubt, the only real deal candidate in the 25th now.
Capanna gave it a good run, but she was smart to get out when she did. I’m sure she will make a great candidate someday, but when it comes down to it, she did not have enough experience this time around. She should run for City Council, County Leg, or maybe school board (helping children was a focus of her message) next time. She should get her government resume built up before running for congress.
Also forgot to mention… I don’t know how many sigs you need to get on the WFP ballot, but I know Maffei already has WFP endorsement. Even if Rosetti makes it to the ballot, she won’t get very far
